Drilling Operations Manager manages daily drilling, production, and engineering operations for an organization. Manages the planning and execution of drilling projects, the development of oil and gas fields, and the analysis of reserves. Being a Drilling Operations Manager manages the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Plans and develops revisions or enhancements to solve and troubleshoot drilling problems. Additionally, Drilling Operations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Drilling Operations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Dakota Drilling & Concrete, Inc. is a specialty drilling contractor working primarily in the Los Angeles area. Dakota Drilling tackles a variety of specialty projects including but not limited to tieback and soil nail installation, slope stabilization, micropile installation, limited access drilling, and much more.
Dakota Drilling is looking to hire and train a new employee to assist with estimating and project management. We are open to applicants who have either part time or full time availability.
Basic skills with Microsoft office are required, along with the ability to effectively communicate and work in a team based environment. Some previous construction experience is a plus, but not required (we will provide training for everything that will be expected of you).
Work will take place in the Oxnard office, with occasional travel to jobsites primarily located in Los Angeles and Ventura county. Valid drivers license is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
