Summary
Position Summary: In coordination with the Manager, the Coding Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the inpatient or the outpatient coders. Manages workflow and supervises coders. Assists with hiring.Essential Functions:- Codes & Assigns APRs/APGs - Reviews medical records to determine the diagnosis/procedures for the patient and assigns ICD-10 CM and PCS and CPT codes to those diagnoses/procedures.
- Revenue Cycle - Meets the weekly uncoded encounter financial goals.

- Assists Data Quality Mgr - Assists Data Quality Manager with various projects.
- Reports - Works various reports including Health Services Cost Review Commission errors and unanswered queries.
- Coding - oversight Manages the coding and supervises the coders.
- Staff Readiness - Ensures that staff is sufficient to do that work and they are properly trained.
- Communication - Effectively communicates with all staff, associates and patients.
- Engagement - Works to ensure staff are engaged and happy to be Lifebridge Health employees.
Job Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Experience: 3-5 years.
Certifications, Licenses: Inpatient - RHIA, RHIT, CCS Outpatient - RHIA, RHIT, COC or CPC
