Parent Engagement Specialist (PES) – Southern WV (counties)
Are you passionate about supporting parents of children and youth with disabilities? Do you have excellent communication and organizational skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact as a part-time/20-hour/week Parent Engagement Specialist (PES).
As a Parent Engagement Specialist, you will support parents, youth, caregivers, and families with children in the special education system to grow their knowledge and skills. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and coordinate parent resource programs and services related to children and youth with disabilities, including Early intervention through Transition after Graduation. You will provide one-to-one support and collaborate with community and state organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to enhance the reach and impact of WVPTI’s parent resource initiatives. This position does include local and in-state travel.
*NOTE: All costs for approved travel are paid by WVPTI (e.g., airfare, accommodations, car rental, per diem for meals while working, etc.).
