We have a short-term full-time opening for a Field Reporting Specialist in the Kansas City area. This position is limited to 6-months with potential for contract extension, permanent hire, or independent contractor offer.
Description:
The specialist's primary focus is to photograph, sketch, and document the condition of the property, identify any visible hazards and determine occupancy. In addition, the specialist will determine building type, materials and measure the exterior of the home.
Using Millennium's proprietary software, the consultant will sketch the home's footprint, upload pictures, report any hazards and answer client specific questions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform quality, accurate residential and commercial insurance inspections while maintaining time service requirements (contact with homeowners and/or tenants may be required for some inspection types)
· Audit and train Independent Property Inspectors
· Relies upon independent judgment and discretion to plan efficient routes and evaluate risks while managing time effectively
· Overnight travel is required
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in the insurance inspections, appraisals, claims adjusting, or an industry that requires building construction knowledge
· Must be well organized and detail oriented
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Intermediate or above computer skills
· Experience with sketching tools
· Familiarity with mapping software
