    ROLE SUMMARY
    ​​​We are seeking an experienced Controls Specialist to join our dynamic team focused on Inhalation and Transdermal Drug Delivery Manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in Controls and Automation department, supporting high-speed automation lines, ensuring efficient production processes, contributing to the success of capital projects and improvements to existing manufacturing lines.​​​​

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
    • ​​As a Controls Specialist Working with Controls and Automation department, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting and solving Controls and Automation equipment issues.
    • ​Works with Manufacturing, Maintenance and Process Engineering in implementing Capital Equipment installation or Existing equipment improvement projects.
    • ​This role services requests and provides support to all production and maintenance related functions along with electrical and process control troubleshooting.
    • ​Diagnosing and communicating problems, root causes and short/long term solutions!
    • ​Program, service, repair, and maintain instrumentation, electrical, and process controls.
    • ​Repairs primary sensing elements, control circuitry and final control devices used in closed and open loop industrial process control systems.
    • ​Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments to Automated equipment.​
    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • ​​Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Systems/Electrical/Electronics, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited University
    • ​5 years of experience in manufacturing high speed automation/ equipment design and/or maintenance with troubleshooting experience in a regulated industry.
    • ​Experience working with and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
    • ​Basic troubleshooting of PCBA and repair experience
    • ​Proven experience operating DMM, clamp on ammeter and Oscilloscope
    • ​Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written & oral.
    • ​Ability to read electrical schematics, Pneumatic/Mechanical drawings.
    • ​Extensive experience in implementing process improvements on high-speed automated manufacturing equipment to drive operating efficiencies.
    • ​Solid understanding and ability to tackle electrical circuits and motors up to and including 480 volts.
    • ​Follow all standard work procedures, safety regulations, and policies to maintain safe working environment.
    • ​Troubleshoot equipment problems to reduce productivity losses and implement long term corrective actions to avoid reoccurrence.
    • ​Experience or Knowledge with Vision Systems (Cognex, Keyence)
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • ​​Prior experience in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry and background in process automation.
    • Prior experience in New Product Introduction activities
    • Experience or knowledge of 21 CFR -Parts 210 and 211 (FDA)
    • Experience of Pharmaceutical Serialization.
    • Experience or Knowledge of Optel Serialization systems
    • Experience in CAD software like Solidworks
    • Hands on experience or knowledge of Machine shop equipment, Mill and Lathe.​​
