Drywall Installer plans, installs, and repairs drywalls to cover walls, ceilings, soffits, shafts, and movable partitions in residential and commercial areas. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Drywall Installer may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Drywall Installer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Drywall Repair Technician HelperResponsibilities:
- Assist the lead Drywall Repair Technician in all aspects of drywall repair and installation.
- Prepare surfaces for repair by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Measure, cut, and install drywall according to specifications.
- Assist in taping, mudding, and sanding seams to ensure a smooth finish.
- Perform minor carpentry work as needed to support drywall installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of drywall repair techniques and materials.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
