WEATHERIZATION INSTALLER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Weatherization Installer is responsible for the assessment of the home and the installation of energy efficiency program measures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Explain and Install all feasible Program measures according to the Installation Standards (IS) Manual

· When needed complete Natural Gas Appliance Test (NGAT)

· Communicate with customers about measures installed

· Inform/Educate customers on the benefits of the energy efficiency program measures

· Explain any follow-up visits

· Document accurate and legible paperwork

QUILIFICATIONS

· Pass drug screening and a background check

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work

· Clean driving background

· Must have excellent customer service skills

EXPERIENCE

· Background in general construction (EX: glass replacement, sheetrock repair/replacement, and door installation)

· Comfortable with working/installing lighting and motion sensors

· Familiarity with gas appliances (furnace, stove and water heaters)

SKILLS

· Bilingual (Spanish)

· Detail oriented

· Good communication skills

· Awareness of geographic area

· Effective time management

WORKING CONDITIONS AND TRINING
