POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team dedicated to delivering high-quality craftsmanship in residential home projects. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for the precise application and finishing of drywall, ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for decoration. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, expertise in smoothing and preparing surfaces, and proficiency in using a variety of tools such as taping knives, sanders, and mixers. Strong knowledge of different finishing techniques and materials is essential, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and project specifications. The Drywall Finisher will collaborate closely with other construction professionals to ensure that the walls and ceilings contribute to the overall aesthetic and functionality of each residential space. POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

• Preparation of Surfaces: Clean and prepare surfaces by removing old wallpaper or loose paint, filling holes, cracks, and joints with compound.
• Application Techniques: Apply tape and use taping tools to seal joints between boards of drywall. Smooth out excess compound and allow the tape to dry.
• Sanding: Sand rough areas after the compound has dried to create a smooth surface for painting.
• Painting and Finishing: Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Texture Application: Apply texturing compounds and primers to walls and ceilings before painting to achieve desired look and consistency.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Detail Orientation: Pay close attention to detail when performing finishing touches to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Maintenance of Tools and Equipment: Clean and maintain brushes, rollers, mixers, and other equipment after use.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other construction professionals and communicate effectively to ensure that timelines are met and projects are completed as planned.
• Time Management: Efficiently manage time to complete projects on schedule and within client budgets.
• Adaptability: Adjust to various job environments and work with different materials and equipment as project needs dictate
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The team member is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.

REQUIREMENTS

• Live in Toledo or surrounding area.
• Drywall and painting expierence
• Must possess good attitude and willingness to learn, and respectful communication with others. Able to perform duties with minimal supervision
• Physical strength and stamina, including good balance and steady hands
• Serve in a team environment participate
• Position properties so they are attractive and have curb appeal

BENEFITS

• Hours of Work: Minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
• Holidays: Standard 8 paid holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
