Drywall Installer plans, installs, and repairs drywalls to cover walls, ceilings, soffits, shafts, and movable partitions in residential and commercial areas. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Drywall Installer may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Drywall Installer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Job Overview:
Specialty contractor seeking two installers to join our team. Products include skylights, flag poles, gym equipment, canopies, partition doors, and more. As an Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of various components and systems in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires heavy lifting and the use of both hand and power tools. There can be some travel needed, not often, daily per diem is provided.Responsibilities:
- Layout, build, and install products
- Measure and cut materials to fit specific dimensions
- Assemble parts as needed
- Follow construction drawings, schematics, and instructions
- Perform construction painting and touch-ups as required
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
-Ensure safe work practices and comply with safety policiesExperience:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read plans and instruction manuals
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Use of forklift and scissor lift (willing to train)
- Open to direct instruction
- Punctual and dependable
