Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our team. The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining operations, quality management systems, and a proven track record of implementing and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
· Establish and maintain quality control processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from incoming materials inspection to final product testing.
· Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
· Coordinate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
· Collaborate with engineering and design teams to review product specifications and ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met.
· Manage a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of quality control activities.
· Monitor and analyze quality metrics and performance indicators to track trends, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions.
· Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality inquiries and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in a quality management role within a precision machining environment.
· In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, Six Sigma).
· Strong understanding of machining processes, metrology, and inspection techniques.
· Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams and interfacing with customers and suppliers.
· Proficient in quality management software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
· Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or similar certification preferred.
