Position works primarily in the Emergency Department to assist clinical and
nursing staff in patient disposition. The Discharge Coordinator will take
primary direction from the Psychiatric Clinician on duty for Psychiatry and/or
the Clinical Coordinator/Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department.
Provide support for Emergency Department patient dispositions. Implement
appropriate disposition plans as directed by the Psychiatric Clinician or
Clinical Coordinator/Charge Nurse. Provide support to Social Workers within
the hospital as needed directed by the Director of the Emergency Department or
their designee.
As a team member this position requires considerable team oriented work
approaches to integrate into the Emergency Departments and other hospital staff
and departments.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Service or related field preferred.
Appropriate experience can substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: Experience is preferred. Internships may be considered.
Salary Range: $15.45 – $28.88
