Oceanic Counseling Group, LLC is looking for a Patient Account Representative to oversee the administrative operations of our Myrtle Beach office.

The right candidate for this position is Self motivated, Detail-oriented and enjoys staying busy. Greeting clients and checking them in upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience is of the utmost importance.

Job Functions:

• Utilize electronic platforms for check in/ check out processes.
• Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays, payments and balances. Bill out claims and follow up as needed.
• Maintain patient demographics and update information as needed
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing and scanning documents
• Ensure common areas are tidy and office supplies are ordered
• Analyze progress notes for compliance measures and submit claims electronically
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
• Other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Required

Qualifications:

• Computer knowledge required, including Excel and Google Docs
• Familiarity with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Medicaid and Medicare preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including typing and data entry.

Experience:

• Medical Office: 1 year (required)
• Insurance verification: 1 year (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
