Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Counselor to join our educational institution. As a School Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. You will collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and the school community to provide guidance and facilitate a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Relevant certification or licensure as a School Counselor
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy and sensitivity when addressing student needs
• Knowledge of counseling techniques and strategies
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
• Proficient in utilizing technology to enhance counseling services

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive counseling services to students, including individual and group counseling sessions
• Assist students with academic planning, course selection, and college and career exploration
• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop personalized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor student progress and address any concerns
• Support students in developing problem-solving, decision-making, and coping skills
• Facilitate workshops and presentations on topics such as bullying prevention, stress management, and conflict resolution
• Advocate for students by attending team meetings, IEP meetings, and collaborating with external stakeholders
• Assist in crisis intervention and manage mental health emergencies within the school community
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records
• Stay updated on current trends in school counseling and participate in professional development opportunities
