Determines and recommends improvements in current standards and the implementation of system changes. Being an EDP Audit Manager develops organizational audit programs to continuously maintain the effectiveness of data processing operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EDP Audit Manager typically reports to top management. The EDP Audit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     Position: Audit Manager

    Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Audit Manager at MSL, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. You will oversee a team of talented professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work that exceeds client expectations.
    • Review financial statements, audit workpapers, and related documentation to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
    • Identify and communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations to clients and senior management.
    • Stay abreast of industry developments, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to provide valuable insights and guidance to clients and team members.
    • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, such as training programs, process improvements, and business development activities.
    • Develop and mentor staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting from a regionally accredited college or university.
    • Five to eight years of public accounting experience
    • Active state Certified Public Accountant license or equivalent recognized by the firm (e.g. Chartered Professional Accountant) required.
    • Active driver’s license and proof of insurance
    • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
    • Proven track record of managing multiple engagements and leading teams to successful outcomes.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
    • Preferred practice areas of experience:
    • Governmental (State Universities & Colleges, School Districts, Counties, Healthcare Districts, Housing Finance Authorities, Municipalities, State Agencies, Transportation Authorities, and Utility Authorities)
    • Healthcare (Long-term care, Senior housing, Hospitals & health systems, Physician practices, and Community-based healthcare)
    • Middle-Market (High Tech, Manufacturing, Professional services, High net worth individuals, Tourism and hospitality)
