    General Statement of Duties:

    The position for EDP Systems Analyst I is the initial point of contact for faculty and staff seeking support from the Information Technical Services Help Desk. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that end users can efficiently perform their work and educational tasks by addressing and resolving technical issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as the first line of support for IT-related problems, providing timely assistance to end users.
    • Offer comprehensive support to end users, addressing a wide range of technical issues.
    • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted user experience.
    • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computers running Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS.
    • Coordinate the repair, replacement, return, disposal, and movement of IT assets in collaboration with vendors and other departments.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support.
    • Work closely with other IT staff to resolve complex issues and ensure a seamless user experience.
    • Document, track, and monitor problems to facilitate timely resolutions and maintain an organized support system.
    • Manage user accounts by adding, updating, and removing users in the phone management system.
    • Efficiently enter and track tasks and issues using the College's provided incident management software.
    • Exceed customer expectations by utilizing excellent customer service skills, ensuring a high level of user satisfaction.
    • Escalate problems to senior staff when necessary to guarantee professional and timely issue resolution.

    Job Requirements:


    Minimum Qualifications:


    • Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in electronic data processing and/or computer systems analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.

    Substitutions:

    An Associate's degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience*.
    A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer and/or information science may be substituted for the required experience*.
    A diploma for completion of a two year full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree granting business or vocational/technical school above the high school level with a major in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience*.
    An official transcript from a recognized business or vocational/ technical school as evidence of completion of a program consisting of at least 650 hours of instruction in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
    Graduation from the data processing course of a recognized vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

    • Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated based on the proportion of the requirements completed.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years of experience as a Help Desk specialist / IT Support.
    • Knowledge and experience supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring PC Hardware
    • Some experience with Active Directory.
    • Understanding of Operating Systems, including Windows 10/11, Mac.
    • Familiarity with RingCentral phone system or similar.
    • Familiarity with KACE Endpoint Management or a similar ticketing system.
    • Able to travel to all college campuses located in Gardner, Leominster, and Fitchburg.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Strong client-facing and communication skills.

    Salary: $63,064.30-$89,614.98
