EDP Auditor evaluates data processing systems and operating procedures in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Determines and recommends improvements in current standards and the implementation of system changes. Being an EDP Auditor provides management with results of audits on applications, systems and programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EDP Auditor typically reports to a manager. The EDP Auditor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Summary: Performs night audit of all outlets on property. All associates are expected to promote and uphold the Samoset Standards of Excellence; Smile, assume responsibility, maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, Own every guest inquiry, speak in a professional manner to guests and co-workers, exceed guests’ expectations and Take pride in your work and in the resort.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    · Performs front desk and CID duties (11p-7a). Empowered to resolve guest opportunities that may arise. Security will assist when Auditor is assisting other guests.

    · Verifies sales from all outlets throughout Samoset Resort. (Club, Spa, Gift Shop, Golf Shop, Restaurants & Banquets).

    · Break down food and beverage sales by type.

    · Verify credit card sales and transmit totals to bank daily.

    · Compiles various reports for management concerning scope of audit.

    · Makes recommendations regarding improving operations.

    · Communicates guest requests to Security for room deliveries and or other guest requests.

    · If Security personnel are not on duty, Night Auditor will undertake additional duties of guest requests, lobby coffee, delivering folio’s and other duties as needed.

    · Other duties may be assigned by Front Office Manager, General Manager, Controller and or Manager on Duty

    · Communicates to Security when leaving the desk area and intended location to ensure proper levels of customer and Front Office coverage.

    · Receives ongoing communication from Security’s locations and whereabouts throughout the shift.

    High school diploma or GED, 6 months to one year related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

    Basic computer skills including Microsoft word, excel and outlook programs.

    Ability to solve and interpret practical problems and situations to establish facts and draw a conclusion.

    Customer service and communication skills required. Valid driver’s license required.

    Physical demands require that associates may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Anticipate guest needs and be flexible in responding to them. Be knowledgeable about your job. LEARN to take ownership of guest issues and resolve them. The resort is comprised of many different departments and working groups. TEAM WORK is essential to provide the highest quality of Guest services.
