    This position starts at $19.00-21.00 an hour.

    Primary Purpose of the Role:
    Primary responsibility is to monitor, inspect, and test incoming products, WIP, and finished product. Provide overall authority for quality and food safety on production floor during shift. Assists and participates in internal auditing, customer inspections, investigation of customer complaints, and corrective/preventive action investigations. This position requires you to take initiative in all aspects of their duties.

    Essential Functions:
    • Conduct specific internal quality audits as directed. This includes inspecting finished products, production paperwork, GMP’s and raw materials being used to produce the product.
    • Report out findings from internal audits to the production teams and follow-up with corrective actions.
    • Monitor and inspect incoming materials per established material specifications.
    • Perform inspection tests on product and paper using established test protocol and lab instruments.
    • Evaluate non-conforming material, disposition properly and complete all required paperwork.
    • Perform the FAI process and sample pulls that run during shift.
    • Understand the quality expectations of various customers across multiple product formats.
    • Assist in the decision making of good vs. non-conforming product.
    • Perform analytical testing as required and directed by the other members of the cross functional team.
    • Assist with investigations of customer complaints, audit findings and internal nonconformances regarding quality and service.
    • Assist with preparation for facility audits and product inspections, per customer requirements.
    • Help update and maintain work instruction/procedures as it relates to facility.
    • Perform quality and food safety training as needed during shift.
    • Must follow GMP guidelines and report any food safety issues.
    • Assist with other product & quality related issues as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Ability to do basic math skills.
    • Possesses strong communication skills.
    • Ability to read & comprehend instructions, memos, specifications, safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to correspond and communicate in verbal and written formats across all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to give detailed work instructions to co-workers.
    • Ability to detect product and packaging quality issues.
    • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including creating and updating Excel spreadsheets.
    • Quality experience preferred but not required.
    The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, be willing to learn new things, and be able to flex their work schedule when needed.
