Auditor 4 opportunity for our customer in
Los Alamos, NM to support the
LANL Facility.
This is not a full-time job, ability to work in short burst to accomplish specific goals.

Clearance: Active “Q” level required

Education:
Master’s degree in engineering and a minimum of twelve years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven expert knowledge of performing assessments in PF-4 to technical requirements.
- Can perform work with little direction.
- Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, and Project)
Summary:
Plans, schedules, and conducts internal audits, advisory services, consultations, and investigation support addressing Laboratory financial, performance, information systems, and subcontract audits to evaluate the internal control structure; to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of operations (processes); to determine the extent of compliance with applicable contract requirements, policies, procedures, Department of Energy (DOE) orders and directives, federal acquisition regulations, and government cost accounting standards; and to assess the Laboratory's management(governance) issues. Examines records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements, policies, and contractual requirements. Analyzes data collected, and documents evidence and supporting documentation. Develops formal written reports to communicate results to management and makes recommendations as appropriate. Works with management to develop corrective actions and target dates to address identified business and operational challenges.
The extent, frequency, and responsibility for these activities performed increase within the auditor levels.
There are three basic audit specialties within the group: internal audit, information technology audit, and subcontract audit (audits of the Laboratory's subcontractors). Although there is overlap and some of the auditing standards apply to all, the different types of auditing require specialized knowledge, and sometimes have their own standards and specific training requirements, especially for auditors that are certified in a given specialty area.

Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards based on professional principles and theories. Viewed as expert in fi eld within the Laboratory. Virtually self-supervisory. Uses independent judgment for determining course of action to accomplish objectives. Uses wide latitude in the methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
