Additionally, EEO Trainer requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEO Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     The purpose of the EEO Technical Services Consultant is to research, develop and coordinate programs designated to facilitate nondiscriminatory employment practices by providing technical assistance, training, conducting compliance reviews and special projects. The EEO Technical Services Consultant will assist with monitoring State Agencies' Affirmative Action Plans and programs through use of Computerized Affinitive Action Management System (CAAMS). The EEO Technical Services Consultant will also organize and analyze employment data using Microsoft Excel, preparing statistical analyses and compliance related reports pursuant to state requirements.


    Responsibilities of the EEO Technical Services Consultant:

    • Operates the Computerized Affirmative Action Management System (CAAMS).
    • Collect, modifies, and imports data from State Agencies to generate Affirmative Action Plans; conducts various computer analyses of information; and prepares and assist in the submission of reports for the Annual Report to the General Assembly.
    • Provides technical assistance to assigned state agencies regarding the development and implementation of nondiscriminatory employment systems and coordinating the developing the submission of Affirmative Action Plans. Assists in the preparation of the Annual report to the General assembly on the status of equal employment opportunity in the SC State Government.
    • Assists with conducting EEO Law training for the public and private sector and assist in training for Agency EEO Officers on Affirmative Action Plans or with EEO issues.
    • Assists with compliance reviews of state agencies by reviewing policies and procedures as it relates to affirmative action plans and equal employment opportunity laws and makes recommendations for improving nondiscriminatory practices.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience in data analysis or statistics.

    Must have to the ability to effectively communicate to establish and maintain working relationships. Incumbent must also establish a good rapport with public seeking services and maintain control in situations requiring sensitivity.
