EEO Trainer designs and delivers diversity training programs and workshops to employees and managers. Develops diversity training curriculum and monitors changes in governmental laws and regulation to ensure that training stays current. Being a EEO Trainer designs and tracks metrics to measure the effectiveness of training on the workforce. May be responsible for working with outside vendors to deliver training. Additionally, EEO Trainer requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEO Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     We are looking for an athletic trainer to join our exceptional sports medicine team in providing specialized, nonoperative treatment of musculoskeletal care and sport-related concussion!  An athletic trainer will be a great complement to our current team! 

     

    Overview:

    Provide services in regards to prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation for all active individuals and sports related injuries for the local sports teams partnering with Mercy. Overall goal is to maximize safe return to activity. The individual will also demonstrate professional development and responsibility within the field of athletic training. 

     

    Duties will include: performing vestibular ocular motor screening (VOMS) for concussion, creating and teaching home exercise programs, management of braces and splints for patients, setting up and assisting with ultrasound-guided injections and other procedures, rooming patients, and participating in the overall care experience.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Graduate of athletic training program from accredited college or university. Approved Clinical Instructor training obtained and maintained as appropriate with University standards.
    • Licensure: State of practice licensure (or eligible) for Athletic Trainer. 
    • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: This individual must be trained and capable of performing patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed
    • Preferred Certification: National Athletic Trainers Association certification as an athletic trainer.
