EHR Application Analyst plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the Supervision of the Manager, Application Support, Information Technology, is responsible for the provision of advanced end-user support and on-site training at Regional Centers statewide to meet the requirements of the DDS/SDICDSI MOU and maintenance agreements for the San Diego Information System (SANDIS); the coordination, compilation and analysis of end-user requirements for application implementation and software design; the development of end-user training materials; the creation of sophisticated management reports intended for local and statewide distribution; coordinate and conduct SANDIS system testing; the maintenance and design of corporate web sites; and the administration of corporate web application servers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Information Technology, Social Work or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years’ experience providing advanced technical support and training to end-users (on either a formal or informal basis) and/or developing web-based applications.
OTHER
Analytical ability and a good sense of order, and organization; customer service focus; empathetic to the needs of end-users. Ability to solve software/hardware problems; resourceful; maintain high standards of professional knowledge and expertise. Knowledge of SANDIS or a similar case management software application; IBM Query 400 or other database report generator applications; HTML programming and web application tools; and the IBM midrange computer. Position requires occasional In-State travel.
STARTING SALARY
$33.83 to $37.21 an hour
