EHR Application Analyst plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Position Summary:
The Application System Analyst is the primary support contact for the assigned application within the Epic electronic medical record. This includes coordination with other team members and organizational subject matter experts to create and support an integrated EMR system. Application System Analyst will be responsible for system configuration, builds, testing, report development and implementing updates to enhance the organizational value of the various information systems. Will participate in the implementation of new applications as well as upgrades and maintenance of existing systems. The responsibilities include providing status information to the application manager, as well as participating with the project team for project planning, testing, training and implementation. The Application System Analyst is also responsible for providing user support and may be required to provide off-hours on-call support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Computer Science or other technical field or healthcare related field. If applicant possesses current vendor certification without an associate degree applicant will be consider with agreement to complete degree in negotiated timeframe.
