Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst, Sr. may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst, Sr. requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. The Application Analyst II responsibilities include oversight and facilitation of resources on application activities, to include, second and third tier application support. This role will also assist with projects related to upgrades and new application implementations. This resource will be an escalation point for application support and will help drive the implementation and utilization of key applications they are assigned. They will understand and assist the team in developing the roadmap for those applications. The Application Analyst II must respond to application/system issues and take responsibility to ensure resolution and ongoing stability of the product. This resource will prioritize their work independently based on customer needs and departmental priorities. In addition, they will escalate and drive resolution of business, clinical, and technical concerns. This role will generally have greater responsibility than Application Analysts junior to the position , as well as assist the senior and consulting level roles with various support and initiatives for the application services team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Required: • Works independently with general supervision.
Preferred: • Proficiency in various programming and application reporting tools
EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE: • 3 years of general work experience (IT or healthcare experience preferred).
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Valid state driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, if applicable
