EHR Application Analyst, Sr. jobs in Muskegon, MI
EHR Application Analyst, Sr. plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst, Sr. may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst, Sr. requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. Essential Job Functions:
- Provides training to new and existing staff on Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Develops training materials, handouts, instructional materials as needed for staff.
- Provides daily support and troubleshooting on EHR and related systems.
- Maintains knowledge of application and related programs, as well as the daily needs of the healthcare setting and policies and procedures therein.
- Shadows workflows practices to identify potential process improvements within the EHR.
- Works in partnership with leadership and staff to translate clinical requirements into specifications for the EHR.
- Submits and monitors support tickets to EHR vendor(s) and other support staff.
