EHR Application Analyst, Sr. plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst, Sr. may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst, Sr. requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. Position Purpose:
Under limited supervision, the EHR Analyst Technician provides primary support to staff on all electronic health record (HER)-related applications. The EHR Analyst Technician serves as a member of the Help Desk team and collaborates with the team to offer technical support over the phone, email, remote assistance, and in person. The EHR Analyst Technician collaborates with the EHR team to resolve EHR-related issues, prioritize enhancement requests, and works with the Help Desk team on general computer-related problems. They determine the source of the issue, advise on appropriate corrective action, or take necessary actions. This position reports to the Next-Gen/EHR Manager and may be assigned various projects, as needed.
