Position
Overview:
The Application Analyst – Lead has in-depth knowledge of the different clinical systems and serves as
a bridge between end users and the IS applications staff. He/She supervises
the appropriate Epic team (i.e. Ambulatory, Rev Cycle, Access, Willow/Beacon,
ASAP/Hospice, Beaker/Bugsy, Inpatient, ORCA); delegates tasks, manages
resources, maintains project timelines, monitors Service Desk tickets for the
group, and provides feedback to managers for evaluations. The Application
Analyst – Lead conducts regular
day-to-day communication with Information System teams, reviews software,
analyzes business operations, and works with application vendors and the
clinical, business representatives, and/or subject matter experts to tailor
the different system(s) to fit the organization's needs.
Application Analyst –
Lead can perform in-depth analysis of
workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues
associated with the use of the different applications. He/She is the primary
support contact and works with the other members of the application team in
coordinating efforts and status updates with the end users/operations stake
holders. Application Analyst – Lead coordinates and communicates with the end users and representatives
from other organizational departments, such as lab, radiology, pharmacy, and
medical records that are impacted by the EMR and other applications.
They utilize advanced
knowledge of the software functionality, and maintains knowledge of the implemented
clinical, revenue, or ambulatory workflows. The Application Analyst Lead
coordinates and a future-state workflow and build the system to support the
new workflow. They will work in groups within their respective team(s) and
across interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish these goals

Education:
Associate’s degree in a clinical discipline required; Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Mathematics, or healthcare-related field preferred.

applicable MS license/certification(s). Current certifications in Epic applications
required or obtained within 90 days of date of hire.

Experience:
A minimum of one (3) years’ supervisory or project leadership experience
required. A minimum of one (2) years’ experience in developing, implementing,
operating, or maintaining information systems in integrated healthcare
delivery systems including hospitals and/or clinic settings required. Previous
installation experience with healthcare system databases and interfaces in hospitals
and/or clinic settings or with a healthcare system vendor required. Management
and project execution experience medium to large projects preferred.

Physical Demands:
Work is moderately sedentary: involves
sitting with regular requirements to move about the office, move about the
facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area. Work
involves exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry,
push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work
involves using repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists,
hands, and/or fingers while operating standard office equipment such as
computer keyboard, copier, and 10-key.
Work involves being able to perceive the
nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction; the
ability to make fine discriminations in sound. Work requires close visual
acuity and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus,
i.e. shift gaze from viewing a computer monitor to forms/printed material
that are closer to compare data at close vision.
Must be able to be active for extended
periods of time without experiencing undue fatigue. Must be able to work
flexible hours. Work requires employee participating in rotating
"on-call" schedule with other members of the Epic team.

Special Demands:
Must demonstrate an understanding of workflows in order to design and
execute software solutions that solve business problems. Must have
intermediate to advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software
applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation
software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio).
Out of
state travel for education purposes required. Must have a valid driver license
as job may require traveling throughout the SRHS service area - with the
employee providing his/her own transportation.
