EHR Application Analyst, Sr. plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst, Sr. may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst, Sr. requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.     Proposed Schedule:
    40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

    Note: This is not a remote position.

    Position Summary
    The Application Support Analyst is responsible for supporting both the Electronic Health Records System and all clinical applications. Will be expected to analyze customer needs and implement system and process change when applicable to support those needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide help desk support. Respond to staff questions and assist with troubleshooting issues within the Electronic Health Records System and all clinical applications
    • Create and maintain reports to support end user, departmental and organizational needs
    • Maintain a thorough and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Electronic Health Records System in both the financial and clinical modules to provide first line application support to the organization and end users
    • Collaborate with management, providers and end users to analyze informational and functional needs and make system setup modifications when applicable to meet those needs and develop processes to support those needs
    • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources to distinguish user request from true underlying need
    • Identify areas of opportunity for automating manual tasks by analyzing work processes and making recommendations for implementing change
    • Provide training to new and existing users on current and future functionality in the Electronic Health Records System and all clinical applications
    • Manage and maintain system tables to support organizational objectives and maintain network standards and methodologies
    • Act as a liaison between HHHN and vendors on support issues and enhancement requests
    • Enthusiastically support the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Hudson Headwaters Health Network.
    • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions:

    • Bachelor’s degree in an information technology or business-related field
    • Three to Five years’ experience in a systems analyst and support role, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
    • Prior experience in healthcare is preferred
    • Previous electronic medical record and/or practice management experience preferred
    • Excellent communication, customer service, organizational skills
    • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite applications
    The pay range for this position is $25.04-$25.92 and will be based on experience and skill set.
