Job Summary:
The clinical applications | EMR specialist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the efficient technical performance of the organizations EMR platforms. Acting as a superuser, they will set up all EMP systems and act as point of contact for all EMR implementations, ensure seamless alignment and integration with healthcare processes and regulations, and ensure accuracy of system profiles. In this position, the Clinical Applications & EMR System Administrator will work closely with internal and external teams to facilitate the setup, customization and deployment of company applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with both clinical and operation teams to understand system requirements and ensure efficiencies within company healthcare applications.
Customize and configure IT applications according to specific healthcare protocols and standards.
Lead the implementation of software systems across the GCP platform, ensuring successful integration with current systems when applicable.
Provide training and IT support to end users.
Troubleshoot and resolve EMR system updates and issues.
Work closely with vendor partners to address system bugs, issues and enhancements.
Maintain detailed documentation for all implementation processes, user guides, and system configurations.
Provide regular updates to GCP leadership team regarding system configurations, best practice, system updates, and user set up performance metrics.
Serve as the primary super user for all EMR applications at GCP and work to define and enhance clinical workflow.
Provide necessary training to key personnel on EMR applications.
Work with EMR providers regarding system updates and new product launches.
Assist operational and financial leaders with data from EMR for data warehouse and reporting purposes.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or related field.
Minimum of 2 years in healthcare IT, preferred.
Healthcare Information Technology Certification preferred.
Proven experience in healthcare billing.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Experience with Epic and Ggastro preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and/or being stationary at a desk.
Consistently use computers and relay information via email, messaging and phone.
Must communicate with others and exchange information frequently and on an on-going basis.
Must be able to lift/move up to 15 lbs.
