EHR Database Report Writer is responsible for data administration, analysis and management reporting from EHR (electronic health record) database. Collaborates with end users to understand reporting requirements and uses Clarity or similar report writer software to create a variety of simple to complex reports using Structured Query Language (SQL) queries. Being an EHR Database Report Writer typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty, Epic/Cerner or similar certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an EHR Database Report Writer typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Preference list modification.
Provider master file.
Creating and modifying letters.
Letters activity and templates.
Adding, editing, and troubleshooting printers.
Adding, editing, and mapping workstations.
Fee schedule maintenance .
Testing new Epic functionality .
Clinical content support including clinical content, SmartLists, SmartTexts, SmartPhrases,
SmartSets, SmartForms, order groups, doc flowsheets and reporting workbench.
Support and training including supporting remove access users, creating and documenting
workflows, training and coordinating new hire, training and maintaining Lot Manager,
MyChart support for existing members, upgrade training and testing coordination,
coordinating resolution of Workflow issues.
Train new employees on Epic if needed, specifically new employees.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum of 2 years of Epic experience in similar or relevant role.
Possess workflow knowledge.
Strong understanding of clinical operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Word, Excel and webinar applications.
