Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing essential support to the project management team. This is a crucial role in ensuring the success and profitability of our projects. Duties: - Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required - Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors - Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing - Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors and subcontractors - Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations - Review project changes and adjust estimates accordingly - Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and participate in bid meetings - Collaborate with the project management team to ensure accurate budgeting and cost forecasting - Maintain organized documentation of all estimates, contracts, and related correspondence Skills: - Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques - Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and other technical documents - Proficient in using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid - Excellent negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors - Strong mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations - Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills - Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders - Familiarity with construction management principles is a plus - Experience in project management is a plus If you are a motivated individual with a passion for construction estimating and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply for this position.
