EHR Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Oversees all aspects of projects. Being an EHR Project Manager sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Additionally, EHR Project Manager prepares project status reports. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EHR Project Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Summary:                                                                                                          

    Central States Manufacturing is a manufacturer of building components in the metal building industry. Operations is responsible for company functions relative to production, maintenance, safety, and engineering. The Project/Program Manager is a key contributor that coordinates and manages entire projects and/or teams. Assembles resources from different functional areas that will make up the project team. He/she plans, schedules, assigns individual responsibilities, and ensures timely completion of the project. Serves as a liaison between team members, functional areas, Executive Management and Vendors. Coordinates and takes action to identify needs, resolve conflicts, develop analysis, and select solutions. The primary role of the Project/Program Manager is to ensure the successful completion of initiatives assigned to their portfolio. 

    Core Functions:

    • Manage cross-functional teams in several types of projects: new product development, manufacturing, new construction, culture, IT or software based on experience. 
    • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle with project resources: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery. 
    • Responsible for tracking project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, key performance indicators, and quality. Manage, mentor, and motivate team involved directly and indirectly in project. 
    • Organize activities as necessary to ensure project success. 
    • Define and execute strategic and tactical goals, aligned with businesses priorities, objectives, and goals. 
    • Manage project budgets including cost estimating and budget tracking. 
    • Provide continuous status updates to management on project status and issues. 
    • Assists with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors. 
    • Coordinate the internal implementation team and update the project plan as required. 
    • Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders. 
    • Escalate roadblocks as they are identified to ensure they are resolved timely. 
    • Ensures systems and workflows are well documented. 
    • Develops plan to support and execute Organizational Change Management. 
    • Organize and motivate project team. 
    • Simultaneously manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently. 
    • Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Ensures training plan is developed and implemented successfully. 
    • Optimize and improve processes and approach where necessary, with PMO team. 
    • Determining and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products/processes in all stages, through completion.

    Education & Experience:                                                                                    

    Minimum Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent relevant job experience.
    • 5 years of experience with any of the following: Financial/ERP/Transportation applications, new product development, M&A, new construction, demand/supply planning, manufacturing execution, distribution and warehousing, and Business Intelligence applications.
    • Computer skills required: Microsoft application suite (O365) 
    • Experienced in using project management software (i.e. SmartSheet, Asana, Jira or MSProject). 

    Preferred:

    • PMP Certification (or equivalent agile or scrum)
    •  Lean Six Sigma Belt certification.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    Work is performed in an office environment and routinely utilize standard office equipment including keyboards, computers, etc. and is required to have close visual insight to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer, extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally. Work is primarily sedentary.  When required, work may be performed in a variety of locations outside of an office environment including, but not limited to, construction sites or manufacturing facilities.

    Travel

    Travel requirements depend on the projects in the portfolio but could be up to 50%.
