EHR Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Additionally, EHR Project Manager prepares project status reports. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EHR Project Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Position Purpose:
    The Nextgen EHR Manager is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Nextgen EHR, software and related infrastructure. You will be responsible for product planning, upgrades and implementation of the scheduling software throughout the product lifecycle. You will create, manage and customize Nextgen templates. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders and work closely with internal and external teams and provide Nextgen training to medical staffs.

    Principal Responsibilities:
    1.    Administer and manage large physical and virtual Microsoft Windows environment, including Nextgen EHR Server, and other servers.
    2.    Work with the clinical, billing, I.T., and other staff to ensure best practices are being used on Nextgen EHR.
    3.    Develop implementation assessment and project plan.
    4.    Document current and proposed EHR clinical workflows.
    5.    Analyze, evaluate and make recommendations for options in the use of Nextgen EHR.
    6.    Assist with a variety of different client needs, ranging from telehealth assistance, billing and coding optimization, template               development and customizations, and implementation and go-live support.
    7.    Support all users of application systems, timely implementation of an ongoing maintenance of applications, and provide the           opportunity for enhanced user productivity
    8.    Act as primary contact for client, serving as first responded for any needs, questions, and issues.
    9.    Work with project leadership and end-users to develop and complete implementation project tasks and deliver training courses
    10.    Deploy and updates Nextgen EHR servers, and apply latest patches.
    11.    Monitor and troubleshoot system issues.
    12.    Lead / supervise Nextgen training department.
    13.    Develop, maintain, and follow systems policies, procedures, documentations, and diagrams for Nextgen EHR.
    14.    Provides support for NextGen EHR/EPM/EDR and related systems.
    15.    Participate in meetings, discussions, and projects.
    16.    Ensures that all system changes are documented and communicated to the appropriate users and stakeholders.
    17.    Collaborate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for enhancing and supporting the health system’s IT environment.
    18.    Manage project deliverables and system performance to meet service level agreements.
    19.    Communicate updates on the status of incidents, changes, requests and deliverables
    20.    Requires travel from site to site and light lifting.
    21.    Performs other duties as assigned.


    Requirements:
    1.    Experience with Meaningful Use, Hedis Measures, HL7, SQL, and Crystal Reports.
    2.    Nextgen EPM, 5 years (Preferred)
    3.    NCP Certification preferred.
    4.    Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2012 /2016 , Windows 7, 8, and 10.
    5.    Excellent communication skills both written and oral, interpersonal, organizational skills, and problem solving ability to work with non-technical end users.
    6.    Minimum of 5 years in NextGen Healthcare system implementation experience and training capacity with deep functional, clinical informatics.
    7.    Experience working with primary care and specialist physician practices, including a demonstrated knowledge of practice operations and workflow
    8.    Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word
    9.    Experience within a healthcare environment is desired
