EHR Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Oversees all aspects of projects. Being an EHR Project Manager sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Additionally, EHR Project Manager prepares project status reports. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EHR Project Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. EHR Technical Systems Manager

  • Job Summary 
    The Manager, EHR Technical Systems will be responsible for the technical planning, coordination, and operations of Epic and its ancillary systems. This role includes managing the systems’ infrastructure components such as ODB Administration, Cogito Administration, Epic Client Systems, and SQL Administration. The successful candidate will lead a team of database administrators and client systems administrators.  This is a permanent, full-time position requiring someone to work on site in Tulsa, OK.  Relocation assistance is being provided if needed and full package of benefits is offered including health, retirement planning/401K, and PTO.  


    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day IT operations of the Epic infrastructure environments.
    • Ensure all proposed changes to IT systems are thoroughly reviewed, approved, implemented, and documented in accordance with established change control procedures.
    • Oversee the design, approval, and implementation of technical projects within the Epic infrastructure environment, including disaster recovery planning and testing.
    • Ensure full compliance with enterprise standards and applicable federal/state regulations.
    • Support staff with work assignments, deliverables, and objectives.
    • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
    • Review, coordinate, and establish vendor/consultant contracts and service agreements.
    • Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of Epic infrastructure.
    • Assist in the development of capital and operational budgets for the Epic technical environments.


    Minimum Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field. Eight years of enterprise-level experience, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree may be considered.


    Licensure, Registration and/or Certification 

    • Epic Systems Certification preferred.

    Work Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of related experience working in a technical EHR/EMR environment.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Functional knowledge of SQL database operations, Epic Operational Database, Epic Client Systems infrastructure, and Epic Analytics products.
    • Knowledge of information technology change control management.
    • Excellent technical/non-technical oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical ability to solve both business and technical problems with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to analyze complex desktop related issues, identify patterns, and determine root cause of problems for effective troubleshooting.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
    • Ability to make complex technology issues understandable to others.

    Decision Making

    • The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from a supervisor.


    Working Relationships

    • Direct supervision of others.
    • Prepares and gives performance evaluations.
    • Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
    • Works frequently with individuals at Director level and above.
