EHR Project Manager, Sr. is responsible for the coordination and completion of complex projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Oversees all aspects of projects. Being an EHR Project Manager, Sr. sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Additionally, EHR Project Manager, Sr. resolves any development issues or team member performance issues. Prepares project status reports. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires EPIC Certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EHR Project Manager, Sr. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an EHR Project Manager, Sr. typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage customer scope of work to ensure all contractual terms and conditions are met
- Establish/maintain all project timing, financial aspects and key milestones within the ERP system
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support customer expectations
- Develop, maintain and deliver progress reports
- Monitor and manage customer requirements, quality, cost and timing elements of assigned projects
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and create contingency/recovery plans
- Demonstrate professionalism in all activities and provide efficient service to internal and external customers
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers both orally and written
- Must be able to travel within the continental US
- Expedite critical and/or late purchased components
- Active participant in a continuous improvement environment
- Partner with the Project Manager and Operations lead to identify opportunities for improvement
- May be called upon to assist with special projects and assume responsibility for the development, administration, and promotion of specific projects, as required

EDUCATIONA four year degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), manufacturing technologies or a related field is preferred; minimum two years is required. At least three years of engineering related experience. At least two years of experience managing multiple projects. Prefer at least three years of 3D solid modeling experience using programs such as Unigraphics, Solidworks, Catia, Creo and AutoCAD. Prefer strong manufacturing experience. Five years of project management experience will be considered in leu of education.
