EHR Project Manager, Sr. is responsible for the coordination and completion of complex projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Oversees all aspects of projects. Being an EHR Project Manager, Sr. sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Additionally, EHR Project Manager, Sr. resolves any development issues or team member performance issues. Prepares project status reports. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires EPIC Certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EHR Project Manager, Sr. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an EHR Project Manager, Sr. typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Duties
· Manages the construction lifecycle.
· Meets with architects, engineers and other design personnel to establish project plans, budgets and schedules.
· Coordinates construction project resources and tracks project progress against established timeline and schedules.
· Tracks project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines or other performance indicators and prepares/delivers reports to leadership.
· Acts liaison regarding changes or problems and actively seeks resolutions.
· Selects, negotiates with, and coordinates work of vendors, contractors or sub-contractors.
· Responsible for material management and delivery scheduling tasks.
· Other duties as assigned.
