EHR Project Manager, Sr. is responsible for the coordination and completion of complex projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Oversees all aspects of projects. Being an EHR Project Manager, Sr. sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Additionally, EHR Project Manager, Sr. resolves any development issues or team member performance issues. Prepares project status reports. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires EPIC Certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EHR Project Manager, Sr. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Position Summary Information

    Responsibilities
    Develops short and long-term plans to direct the university’s construction, renovation, and remodeling projects.

    Administers IHL system, Bureau of Building, and MDOT project development, design and construction management policies and procedures. Monitors budget to ensure compliance with project requirements. Coordinate and review change orders and recommend and/or authorize changes as needed. Ensure project timelines are met. Prepare reports, review submittals and construction schedules, and monitor construction on site.

    Develops reports, timelines, and budgets to support capital projects as well as the repair, renovation, and replacement of university buildings and infrastructure.

    Develops and monitors Facilities Management project budgets. Responsible for space management, utility consumption, information technology, and other related administrative functions.

    Qualifications
    A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of architecture, engineering or other related field is required. A master’s degree in related field is preferred. More than 3 years of related experience is required with an emphasis on university/higher education projects preferred. Professional experience in planning and design is required. A combination of professional experience in planning and design, design/build project management, and construction and maintenance management experience may be considered. LEED and PMP certification is desirable. Must maintain a current, valid Mississippi driver’s license.
