Under the direction of the Innovation and Technology Director and the IT Applications Manager, this position is responsible for aiding the Innovation and Technology Department with ongoing enterprise systems implementation and maintenance efforts. Specifically, provides systems support, configuration, problem resolution, business analysis, process improvement, and customer support to users and stakeholders. In coordination with Finance, HR and other city departments, plans, designs, configures, implements, monitors, maintains, and optimizes City enterprise systems, databases, collaboration platforms, user portals and cloud enterprise systems.

Assists the Innovation and Technology department and the City’s ERP Cloud Suite project manager to assess and execute project plans, system assessment, process analysis, fulfillment of system requirements, and functional definition of planned system changes, according to the City of Coral Gables ERP implementation schedule.
Assists the Innovation and Technology department to customize and configure the Infor CloudSuite ERP Software package and other enterprise systems based on City requirements.
Tests changes with City and ERP SME’s. Monitor the ERP system implementation to ensure it meets the evolving needs of the city.
Assists project manager and department staff in meeting project team goals and objectives.
Assists users and IT, Finance, HR other departments’ personnel with training and development of user documentation.
Assists with data conversion and mapping.
Acts as sounding board for feasibility of ideas and process improvements (brainstorming potential solutions).
Develops system-wide reports to support information management needs.
Assists the Innovation and Technology Director, the IT Applications Manager and ERP Project Managers with logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Focus on Innovation and Technology enterprise systems implementation and ongoing support. Serves as a technical point of contact for information systems supporting citywide ERP operations.
Works closely with other subject matter experts to ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities during the implementation.
Provides support for enterprise systems including, but not limited to, researching, and resolving unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Performs business process evaluations, improvement plans and FinTech / ERP solutions planning and analysis. Plans, designs, configures, develops, maintains, and optimizes city enterprise systems in coordination with all city departments. Oversees the work of interns, specialists and contractors when required.
Collaborates with peers and departmental users to complete project assignments and accomplish Innovation and Technology department goals and directives. Communicates with users, vendors, and manufacturers, as needed, to resolve technical and business problems. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business needs and user requirements. Creates functional design and specifications as needed. Determines business needs and makes purchasing recommendations for the Innovation and Technology department.
Implements and project-manages enterprise systems and performs documentation and product maintenance. Performs change management, testing and certification procedures. Interprets, refines, and applies methods and procedures in accordance with standards and best practices.
Also performs support, troubleshoots, and resolves system problems. Makes repairs and conducts scheduled maintenance tasks in coordination with the Innovation and Technology divisions.
Assists with the support of enterprise system databases, data backup systems and processes, and data infrastructure.
Liaison with third parties and other stakeholders.
Performs other related tasks as required.
Five plus years of experience in ERP application implementation and support across functions (Innovation and Technology (Primary), Finance, HR, Payroll, Supply Chain Management).
Five plus years of experience implementing and/or supporting large scale ERP systems (i.e., Infor, SAP, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Kronos, Oracle, Dynamics, Workday) to include but not limited to: organization change management, setup, configuration, customization of the ERP application.
Five plus years of experience working with technical tools delivered by ERP applications.
Five plus years of experience creating technical design document based on functional design.
Five plus years of experience working with interfaces and reports.
Five plus years of experience with workflow automation, interfaces, and integration.
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees(s) with major in Information Technology (or) FinTech (or) Data Science (or) Business Analytics or related fields.
Valid Florida Driver’s License.

Candidates must have a combination of:
HOLIDAYS: 14 days including 3 floating days.
SICK LEAVE: 96 hours annually.
ANNUAL LEAVE: 80 hours in the first year of employment, increasing up to 188 hours after 25 years. Employees must take 40 hours of annual leave each year.
BEREAVEMENT LEAVE: 5 or 10 work days for the death of a family member in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and the City's Personnel Rules & Regulations.
MEDICAL INSURANCE: Fully paid by the City (HMO Select). Coverage becomes effective 1st of month following 30 days. Employee may purchase coverage for eligible dependents at a cost of approximately 50% of the premium.
DENTAL INSURANCE: Available to all employees through payroll deduction.
LIFE INSURANCE : Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment equal to 1 x annual salary, fully paid by the City (up to $200,000).
VOLUNTARY BENEFITS: Several plans available, such as Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance and Critical Illness policies through payroll deductions.
LEGAL SERVICES: Legal Service plan available at a cost to employees through payroll deductions.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION: Employees are given the option to defer a portion of their pre-tax salary into the 457 Deferred Compensation Program.
UNIFORM ALLOWANCE: $500 annually where required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT: $1500 per semester ($6,000 maximum annually) for approved college coursework.
SAFETY GLASSES: Required safety glasses are provided every 2 years.
