We are pleased to share that we have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Analyst as part a key member of the Blue Bird Purchasing Team. 

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance & Analytics, this role is responsible for providing department support by performing task including, but not limited to, Economic Analysis, Invoice Hold Report, PDRs, Supplier On-Boarding, general system maintenance tasks, etc.  Supports improvements initiatives such as Contract Database and DocuWare.  Supports Compliance Coordinator as back-up for compliance related activities, including establishing our yearly business goals.  Supports Manager of Compliance and New Product Souring with department KPI tracking and general tasks.  Assist Buyers with product management initiatives.  Enters all purchase requisitions for Purchasing Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Continuous improvement projects within the Purchasing Department
• Analyzing information for Buyers related to quotes and cost savings
• KPI tracking towards department goals
• Supports efforts around compliance and risk management
• Maintain files and other documents to support business and ISO certification
• Create and maintain system data in LN
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of LN and other business systems, including Excel, Word and Power Point
• Proficient in analyzing data
• Must be organized
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with both internal and external customers
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment – ability to multi-task
• Maintain strong relationships with internal customers

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Purchasing support, or similar field
• Previous experience with various business systems; LN, Microsoft Office, DocuWare

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Periodically required to work for more than the standard 40-hour week, due to production deadlines and daily workload.
• Evening and weekend work may be needed to support extended production work hours.
