ERP Analyst analyzes business needs and processes to assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Coordinates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements by understanding workflow, goals, and processes. Being an ERP Analyst acts as liaison between the development teams and business stakeholders to ensure that ERP solutions align with business objectives. Documents business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps to serve as a reference for the organization. Additionally, ERP Analyst analyzes system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities to improve processes and ERP functionality. Generates and monitors regular reports to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of ERP applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be an ERP Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. ERP Systems Administrative Analyst I

  • General Description:

    The purpose of this job Class within the organization is to provide active and current support for core ERP and utility management systems and applications within the Information Technology Services Department. This Class job will have the ability to adapt to and learn the city’s Cayenta ERP system and be proficient in all ERP and associated applications, SQL, SQL queries, and database services to facilitate enterprise-wide computer and data services necessary operations.

    This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

    :

    All work in Premises based.

    Work hours 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday - Friday

    Unless required to be adjusted for business needs.

    Also responsible for on-call after-hours support as required.


    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

    Associates or Bachelor of Science degree preferred, or equivalent Experience & certifications obtained, with 3 years of growth shown in progressive responsibility. Requires progressive responsibility and experience within the job description outlined or a closely related or associated field. The equivalent combination of education, training or related work experience may be considered.


    Special Certifications, Clearances and Licenses:

    Valid Driver’s License. Must obtain FBI / CJIS security clearance and bi-annual certification. MCSA:SQL, CSA, CCNP, RHCSA preferred.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Responsible for managing and maintaining all core data services: Cayenta (CU, CF, HR, PA, CSS, CE, MWM, API’s, Cognos and Power-BI reports IC: Invoice Cloud and IVR: dataVoice / MeterSense / SmartWorks MDM and Tunet: Tantalus AMI.
    • Responsible for performance and operational efficiency of assigned systems.
    • Primary data services troubleshooting support and vendor liaison.
    • Proficiency in SQL, creating SQL queries or any current Database used by city.
    • Ability to analyze, extrapolate and deduct complex options and designs to safely and securely manipulate, customize or profile given software environments, operational challenges, or functional needs of the organization.
    • Ability to pull proper data and analyze and validate data and reports as required.
    • Responsible for SQL, Power-BI and Cognos report structuring, writing and debugging.
    • Lead, participate or facilitate technical meetings or services pertaining to ERP and Utility systems and services.
    • Responsible for security of data services and the data contained within the DBs.
    • After hours technical support on call rotation responsible.
    • Liaison for all vendor services required to support Utility and ERP systems.
    • Responsible for DR and HA support of all data services.
    • Responsible for and supports Core ERP system services, Cayenta and AMI.
    • Documents, trains, and supports data services and the customer base served.
    • Maintains, upgrades, and troubleshoots associated servers.
    • Devise and build complex options or design as required.
    • Participates in Evaluating and implementing new technologies.


    Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficiency in the English Language, both spoken and written; must be able to speak in front of audience of your peers or customers; must be able to do technical documentation in English.
    • Proficient with using Computers & entire suite of Microsoft Office Products.
    • Extensive knowledge of all core Microsoft products, SQL, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, etc.
