ERP Business Manager manages the analysis of business needs and processes to assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Implements policies and procedures to analyze system performance, ensure operational effectiveness, and drive continuous process improvement. Being an ERP Business Manager leads the collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify needs and validate that ERP solutions align with business processes. Evaluates and reviews business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps to serve as a reference for the organization. Additionally, ERP Business Manager monitors regular reports to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of ERP applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The ERP Business Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an ERP Business Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About The Opportunity

    Compensation: competitive salary plus bonus structure, ESOP contributions, 401(k) match

    Location: Auburn, NH

    We are searching for an experienced and team-oriented Business Manager to join our Independent Explosives, Inc. management team! In this role you will assist in developing strategic and organizational development within all divisions across our entire geographic footprint along the eastern coast. This position provides support across a broad range of Departmental, Divisional, and Marketing initiatives as assigned, in line with the Core Values, Operating Principles, and Vision of the Company.

    What you will be doing:

    In this role, you will directly impact the stability and growth of the organizational, tactical, and resources necessary to advance Departmental and Divisional objectives. You will:

    • Support, administer, and maintain established company safety policies and procedures.
    • Support the activities required to be compliant with regulatory environments.
    • Support growth of territory through active prospecting for new business and cultivation of new and prospective client relationships.
    • Maintain current customer base through a call system to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
    • Stay in tune with competitive developments and communicate opportunities for bidding or new areas of services the Company can benefit from offering.
    • Maintain cooperative relationships with corporate divisional and department teams to enhance efficient and effective customer service, invoicing, A/R, and operations.
    • Position impacts P&L and COSTS through positively influencing operations.
    • Contribute to strategic discussions regarding the overall direction of assigned areas of responsibility to ensure long term inter-operability and growth.
    • Assist in the development of Divisional business plan and budget with responsibility to maintain a positive financial posture for assigned area.

    In order to be successful in this role, here’s what we will need from you:

    • Extensive experience in managing business relationships with a strong knowledge of drilling and blasting in both the construction and quarry environments;
    • Technical/Business education degree or equivalent industry experience preferred;
    • Solid knowledge of distribution, bulk operations, and inventory management;
    • Strong background in supporting safety management;
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills required;
    • Contribute to strategic discussions regarding the development of Retail business plan;
    • Proficient computer skills and fluency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint;
    • Ability to travel to all company locations, including travel overnight as necessary;
    • Participate in monthly management committee meetings;
    • Participate weekly sales and/or operations meeting
    • Support other meetings as requested by the Divisional President ;
    • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, including physical conditions which may include sitting up to 75 % of the time including stooping & bending 5% of the time.

    About You

    You are an experienced and professional Business Manager with 5 years’ experience in the construction industry, as well as specific knowledge related to drilling and blasting processes. You may hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or technical education in a construction related discipline. In addition to possessing a strong business acumen with industry specific experience, you are always highly dependable, credible, and accountable while strategically leading others to contribute to organizational efficiency, safety, and success!
