Preston Joint School District No. 201 is seeking a qualified Business Manager. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Business Manager is responsible for managing a team of accounting and HR personnel while administering the District’s ERP system to accomplish efficient and accurate financial reporting to the Board of Trustees, Superintendent, all district departments, and the general public.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Overall management of district finances
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to finances, accounting, and business operations
• Managing the school’s budget to ensure it is balanced and cash flow is adequate to meet expenses
• Maintain and monitor all district bank accounts
• Prepare monthly and yearend financial reports
• Establish and oversee financial policies and procedures
• In conjunction with the superintendent and human resource manager, develop administrative policies and procedures including hiring, termination, discipline, and performance evaluation of employees
• Serve as treasurer to the superintendent and board of trustees

• $50k - $100k dependent on experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business management, or related field
• 5 years of experience in public, for-profit, governmental, and/or non-profit accounting with evidence of progressive leadership roles and responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial ERP systems preferred
• Experience as school business administrator and/or MBA or CPA preferred
