ERP Programmer develops, reviews, and modifies the programming to support the configuration of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Analyzes ERP system performance and encodes and debugs any issues or vulnerabilities to improve the integrity, security, or application of the system. Being an ERP Programmer develops coding to support the programming of new ERP modules and system upgrades and assists with the configuration planning and deployment of releases. Ensures ERP data and system infrastructure security, designs patches for vulnerabilities, and develops backup processes. Additionally, ERP Programmer plans and designs application tables, reports, and new modules to improve system configuration, functionality, and efficiency. Coordinates software integration and maintains technical documentation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Programmer work is closely managed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Verifies physical properties and size of materials such as plates, sheets, castings, forgings, dies, fixtures, bar stock, and work produced by fabricating machines and secondary operations.
Inspects high value, complex and tightly toleranced parts accurately and dependably, utilizing a wide variety of mechanical and computerized inspection equipment (such as micrometers, bore micrometers, internal and external thread gauges, dial indicators, air gages, digital height gages, profilometers, optical comparators, CMM's, vision systems)
Identifies and selects an inspection technique appropriate for attribute being measured (accuracy and precision). Actively identifies and uses alternative inspection techniques to validate results.
Provides ongoing support to production employees effectively working with them to troubleshoot and resolve machining or assembly problems.
Maintains product quality documentation by keeping accurate records and files such as Material Certifications, First Article Inspection Reports and Inspection Reports.
Creates and edits CMM and vision system programs and troubleshoots programming problems. Familiarity with PC-DMIS software, Keyence or OGP vision systems preferred.
Insures that production employees are trained in the proper use of inspection equipment and are able to inspect parts in accordance with the inspection methods and quality plans they create.
Utilizes statistical techniques to understand and improve the capability of our processes (such as sampling methodologies like ANSI / ASQ Z1.
4 or C 0, Process Capability CpK, SPC, Gage R&R)
Effectively communicates quality issues with management, customers and suppliers and initiate corrective action.
Determines the proper disposition of nonconforming material.
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); VoTech Trade school graduate preferred.
Completed Apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Minimum 10 years combined Machinist and Inspector experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of active PCDMIS programming preferred. Proficient in a wide variety of machine inspection tools and devices.
Language Ability :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and machine drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability :
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Fluent with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.
5M. Knowledgeable in Statistical techniques.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; be able to program CMM's and DCC's preferably using PC-DMIS;
knowledge of CAM and CAD Software packages preferred.
