ERP Programmer develops, reviews, and modifies the programming to support the configuration of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Analyzes ERP system performance and encodes and debugs any issues or vulnerabilities to improve the integrity, security, or application of the system. Being an ERP Programmer develops coding to support the programming of new ERP modules and system upgrades and assists with the configuration planning and deployment of releases. Ensures ERP data and system infrastructure security, designs patches for vulnerabilities, and develops backup processes. Additionally, ERP Programmer plans and designs application tables, reports, and new modules to improve system configuration, functionality, and efficiency. Coordinates software integration and maintains technical documentation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Programmer work is closely managed. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Learn the programming syntax and logic as well as the debugging tools, systems, and the functions of each.
Write, update, and maintain the detailed instructions supporting business applications.
Assist in the resolution of user submitted problems and questions.
Test programs and present output to Analysts for consultation and determining accuracy.
Learn Rain and Hail business and business rules.
Other job related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma required. Bachelor Degree from trade school or university in business or related programming studies preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to be analytical and pay close attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions, both written and oral, given by analysts which describe input, steps computer must follow, business rules, and desired output.
