ERP Programmer develops, reviews, and modifies the programming to support the configuration of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Analyzes ERP system performance and encodes and debugs any issues or vulnerabilities to improve the integrity, security, or application of the system. Being an ERP Programmer develops coding to support the programming of new ERP modules and system upgrades and assists with the configuration planning and deployment of releases. Ensures ERP data and system infrastructure security, designs patches for vulnerabilities, and develops backup processes. Additionally, ERP Programmer plans and designs application tables, reports, and new modules to improve system configuration, functionality, and efficiency. Coordinates software integration and maintains technical documentation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Programmer work is closely managed. Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing automation projects to improve productivity, quality and consistency.
- Assist with design, planning and execution of automation / robotics in the plant.
- Consistent improvements on assembly equipment by making programming changes in the PLC or other systems to reduce cycle time and increase reliability
- Work with schematics and diagrams for electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
- Developing and changing of automation processes through programming the PLC
- Implementing additional vision systems and scanners, setting up communication to the main PLC and integrating it into the code
- Provide higher level of support for maintenance technicians during break down situations through troubleshooting methods
- Developing and executing training for development of other team members
