ERP Programmer develops, reviews, and modifies the programming to support the configuration of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Analyzes ERP system performance and encodes and debugs any issues or vulnerabilities to improve the integrity, security, or application of the system. Being an ERP Programmer develops coding to support the programming of new ERP modules and system upgrades and assists with the configuration planning and deployment of releases. Ensures ERP data and system infrastructure security, designs patches for vulnerabilities, and develops backup processes. Additionally, ERP Programmer plans and designs application tables, reports, and new modules to improve system configuration, functionality, and efficiency. Coordinates software integration and maintains technical documentation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Programmer work is closely managed.     Position Overview
    This position involves direct programming work in both development and maintenance projects and troubleshooting errors. Work is performed with independent judgment, in accordance with established University and System Information Technology department policies and procedures, under the general direction of the Student Administration Resource Managers and Technical Lead of the Student Records System Development Team.

    Minimum Qualifications
    The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with coursework in computing or information systems and one year of related computer programming experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    * Considerable knowledge of the methods and equipment used in electronic data processing, including system analysis and design, and computer programming techniques.
    * Strong skill in writing programs for computer applications.
    * Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
    * Ability to perform detailed work accurately.
    * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
    * Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
    * Knowledge of safe working procedures related to work performed.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Prior experience with PeopleSoft, SQL, and Python preferred.

    Work Schedule
    Generally, M-F, 8am-5pm. Hybrid (In office/Remote).

    * Write computer programs/processes to produce ad-hoc reports, labels and/or data files at the request of the functional users.

    * Involve the functional users in the preparation of the test plan that will be used to test and debug each program/process.

    * Develop a workable testing and implementation plan with contingency plans that take into account potential problems.
