ERP Programmer develops, reviews, and modifies the programming to support the configuration of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Analyzes ERP system performance and encodes and debugs any issues or vulnerabilities to improve the integrity, security, or application of the system. Being an ERP Programmer develops coding to support the programming of new ERP modules and system upgrades and assists with the configuration planning and deployment of releases. Ensures ERP data and system infrastructure security, designs patches for vulnerabilities, and develops backup processes. Additionally, ERP Programmer plans and designs application tables, reports, and new modules to improve system configuration, functionality, and efficiency. Coordinates software integration and maintains technical documentation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Programmer work is closely managed. Odyssey is working with a manufacturing company to find an experienced ERP Systems Programmer/Analyst to join the team as a SME over the Info XA Applications (formerly MAPICS). This person will have specific experience understanding, using, and supporting this application and will have worked in manufacturing; Please see full details below. Additionally, this role can be located in Ohio. There will be 25% occasional travel that will decrease over time.
Position Overview: We seek an experienced Infor XA SME to oversee the maintenance and updating of our Infor XA software. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the application, exceptional management skills for external resources, and proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies. This person will assist with a shop floor implementation, perform data mapping of the systems, and perform data mapping and cleansing for the upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the Infor XA application.
- Manage external resources and consultants involved in Infor XA projects.
- Develop and customize reports using Infor XA integrated reporting tools.
- Integrate Infor XA with other systems and applications within the IT landscape.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated competency in RPG, RPGLE, CL for IBM iSeries, JavaScript, JSON, SQL, and XA Enterprise Integrator.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of integration technologies and techniques.
- Experience in developing and customizing reports.
- Infor certifications are a plus.
