ERP Project Manager manages the programming and configuration functions to support the implementation of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Plans and designs new ERP modules and system upgrades by defining scopes, setting deadlines, coordinating workflow, and monitoring progress. Being an ERP Project Manager implements policies and procedures to guide ERP system programming and ensure the optimal function of ERP applications to support business goals. Monitors system performance metrics to ensure the reliability, security, and integration of data and recommends improvements or modifications. Additionally, ERP Project Manager coordinates with adjacent departments to understand business needs and future requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The ERP Project Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an ERP Project Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Supervisor: COO or General Manager

    Classification: Full-time, salaried, exempt (Administrative Exemption)

    Summary Description:

    The Project Manager is responsible for supervising, directing, and motivating the project team as directed by the COO or General Manager. Additionally, the Project Manager will assist the project team during planning, estimating, design, and installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover, and warranty of assigned projects

    Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

    Project Management

    • Assist Project team in planning and design of various solar PV projects

    • Prepare project schedules

    • Monitor & maintain project construction schedules and contracts

    • Control & monitor labor, material, and equipment costs with Superintendents

    • Manage existing projects and assist estimating new projects as appropriate

    • Demonstrate ability to solve problems as they arise

    • Collaborate with all internal teams as necessary to ensure project process flow

    • Work with management team to improve processes

    • Working knowledge of technical, administrative & management of all project phases

    • Lead weekly project management meetings to effectively communicate project progress and expectations to all stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

    • On site supervision of construction projects through completion ensuring that projects meet time and budget constraints

    • Recognize risks that would likely impact the project success through its lifecycle


    PM Activities

    • Confer with all field personnel to monitor the progress, productivity, and compliance

    • Assist in the development of and manage work instructions for construction tasks across commercial and utility PV plants

    • Ensure proper execution of field inspections at projects under construction and audit quality documentation and design specifications compliance

    • Communicate best practices to construction superintendents and field personnel

    • Assist with the development of comprehensive task manuals and work procedures across solar PV components and assemblies

    • Assist with commissioning of completed PV plants

    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client safety practices

    • Review and approve material invoices, rental agreements and subcontract payments

    • Review and approve subcontract pricing and SOU


    Training

    • Assist in the development of training curriculum to develop skills of field personnel

    • Assist in communication of procedures to field personnel

    • Attend regular training (as required or directed)


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • This position will have supervisory responsibilities as assigned and subject to changes as business needs change.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Able to work and maneuver in a construction environment.

    • Willing and able to travel to jobsites.

    • Working conditions: construction jobsites, noisy conditions, extreme temperature conditions.


    POSITIONS TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

    • This is a full-time position. Hours often follow typical those of a typical construction work week. However, you may be required the work weekends or after normal business hours from time to time.


    TRAVEL:

    • Ability and willingness to travel to various locations as required.

    Qualifications

    Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    • Highly proficient in technical aspects of residential, commercial and utility solar PV construction

    • 5 years of construction experience required

    • Solar construction experience preferred

    • NABCEP certification preferred

    • Strong working knowledge of complex electrical systems and components

    • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills

    • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and commitment to producing high quality work product, and ability to multi-task under tight time pressures

    • Must have valid driver’s license & clean driving record
