ERP Project Manager manages the programming and configuration functions to support the implementation of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Plans and designs new ERP modules and system upgrades by defining scopes, setting deadlines, coordinating workflow, and monitoring progress. Being an ERP Project Manager implements policies and procedures to guide ERP system programming and ensure the optimal function of ERP applications to support business goals. Monitors system performance metrics to ensure the reliability, security, and integration of data and recommends improvements or modifications. Additionally, ERP Project Manager coordinates with adjacent departments to understand business needs and future requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The ERP Project Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an ERP Project Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Project Manager role is a 12 month contract position supporting a greenfield industrial manufacturing facility being constructed near Sumter, S.C.

    The Project Manager is a high-level position that will have some Owner's Rep. responsibilities, as well as oversight of field work. The Project Manager will support a new/greenfield industrial manufacturing facility that will be installed/constructed over the next 12 months. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with Project Management on projects in excess of $500-million to $1-billion T.I.C. Some work may be conducted remotely for this role; however, the Project Manager may be required onsite for multiple weeks at a time to oversee construction.

    Project Manager Job Description:
    • Provide project oversight for continuous improvement with the goal to drive the facility to success as a low-cost operator producing high-quality products in all units.
    • Provide Owner's Rep. services as needed.
    • Oversee field construction activities.
    • Function as the key individual who will be responsible for understanding the technical needs of the facility and leading the project to execute assigned construction activities and technical tasks.
    • Work collaboratively in ensuring the facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements including emissions permits (air, water, and solid waste), and Process Safety Management (PSM). Actively manage Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and Process Safety Information (PSI).
    • Advise facility management as appropriate.
    • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules to ensure that project execution is timely and on budget.
    • Develop and manage engineering and capital budgets.
    • Manage engineering contractors and equipment vendors as needed to support operations and projects.
    • Coordinate input from plant operations, maintenance, EH&S to ensure all needs are supported in day-to-day activities and in projects.
    • Develop strong working relationships with all facility personnel, sub-contractors, and suppliers (e.g., process technology, catalyst, and water treatment).
    • Work cross-functionally to support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reliability activities.
    • Participate in a variety of budget, status, and management team and consultant meetings, to provide input and resolve issues.
    • Work with a staff of engineers, project managers, and computer-aided drafters providing support to the project.
    • Travel as needed, to support the facility and its activities.

    Project Manager Education/Experience Requirements:
    • BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.
    • 15-25 years of engineering or Capital Project Management experience in the field of industrial construction/manufacturing is preferred.
    • Experience serving as an Owner's Rep. level Project Manager is preferred.
    • Experience supporting projects in excess of $500-million to $1-billion is preferred.
    • A PMP Certification is a plus.
    • Demonstrated performance in completing industrial manufacturing projects, making data-driven decisions, and implementing plant improvements which positively impacted plant profitability and sustainability (e.g., EHS, efficiency, productivity, reliability).
    • Experience in plant operations (instrumentation, electrical, piping, rotating equipment, and management).
    • Ability to manage a capital project portfolio using project scheduling software and other software tools.
    • Candidates should be able to commute to the Sumter, S.C. area on a daily basis, for the life-cycle of the project. Per diem will be provided for non-local candidates.
