• Develop and implement comprehensive therapeutic recreation programs and services utilizing staff expertise and family and community resources to meet the psychosocial, physical, and cognitive needs of our residents.
• Develop specialized programs for the dementia population in our various care settings.
• Improve needs identification and assessment processes.
• Increase resident and family participation.
• Identify and/or design and develop new programs.
• Improve and enhance current programming and delivery processes.
• Train leadership and staff members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, or related health care field preferred but not required.
• Current or eligible for certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist is preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ managerial experience in developing and implementing social or recreation program.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees as well as demonstrated facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high quality results.
• Strong organization skills.
• MUST be willing to travel
