Job Summary :

The Corporate Merchandiser I is responsible for planning and maintaining merchandising operations. This includes strategically developing and executing merchandising plans, promotions, and displays that will deliver volume and profit goals.

Utilizes customer insights, consumer trends, buying patterns, sales and inventory metrics, forecasting, and competitive landscape to partner with stores and other departments to develop effective plans.

Will train and coach the merchandising team to ensure the product assortment and placement reflect the company's branding, objectives, and customer demand.

Works closely with other Corporate and Store Associates. Travel is required as much as this role will be onsite at various store locations.

Qualifications :

• Education : Must have a high school education or equivalent and preferably some extended education beyond high school.
• Training and Experience : A minimum of three years in the building industry. Prior merchandising experience is necessary.
• Job Knowledge : Should have a good understanding of the building material industry. Must be proficient in Internet and Microsoft applications.

Must possess skills required to read and communicate merchandising plans / plan-o-grams. Strong written and verbal communication is necessary.

Physical Demands : Work requires some physical effort; and involves standing, much walking, and medium lifting. Works in and out of an air-conditioned environment.
